Is your business equipped to deal with the fallout of a cyber attack?

The official opening today of the government’s National Cyber Security Centre in London underlines the growing risk of cyber-attacks and signals greater determination from both business and government to tackle what can be rightly classified as an endemic threat to wider society, government institutions and commercial organisations.

UK law firm, Shepherd and Wedderburn is also playing its part in helping businesses combat such threats. Next week, technology and media lawyers from the firm will host a breakfast seminar, during which they will provide their audience with an overview of the legal aspects of preparing for a cyber attack, outlining 'next steps' plans of action to follow in the event of a security breach.

The Shepherd and Wedderburn team will be joined by Darren Desmond, Assistant Director of Cyber Security at EY, Brian Wagner, Security Consultant at Amazon Web Services, and Shannan Fort, Assistant Vice President at Aon.

From these speakers, guests will learn:

  • How to spot an incident
  • How to evaluate what has happened
  • How to respond
  • What to say / when to say it
  • The simple things you and your suppliers can do to reduce your vulnerability.
