Acted for Freedom Homes (Stirling) Limited in the refinance of its development facilities with The Royal Bank of Scotland plc with a value of £25 million.
British Land / the Hercules Unit Trust (HUT)
Acted for British Land/the Hercules Unit Trust (HUT) on the refinancing of various properties including Glasgow Fort, Fort Kinnaird Retail Park Edinburgh and Inverness retail parks with a facility package totaling almost £1 billion.
LondonMetric Property PLC
Acted for Metric Property Investments plc on the refinancing of assets held in a joint venture worth £150 million between Metric and Universities Superannuation Scheme and separately on the financing of South Road Retail Park to RBS.
Rock Capital
Acted for Rock Capital in connection with securing syndicated senior and mezzanine debt funding for the Rock City Park and UK Industrial Funds, and for the trustees of the Jersey property unit trusts following appointment of special servicers by the lenders.
TJAC USA LLP
Acted for TJAC Group in relation to procuring syndicated property acquisition and development facilities for use in acquiring properties in London, Geneva, Sydney and Wellington, and subsequently redeveloping the properties to provide student accommodation on long term leases to universities.
Valad Properties
Acted for Valad Properties on the establishment of a £112 million joint venture with HBoS of a UK commercial property fund in a joint venture with HBOS.
Spire Healthcare Limited
Acted for Spire Healthcare Limited as Scottish legal advisers in the £700 million disposal of a property portfolio managed through a complex Opco/Propco structure including, setting up the Opco/Propco structure, dealing with the Scottish end of a sale and leaseback of the properties and restructuring of the security arrangements.
Bank of Scotland
Acted for Bank of Scotland in relation to funding the acquisition and subsequent development via dedicated JVCo’s of a number of sites across the UK (residential, commercial and mixed residential and commercial developments).
Canada Life Investments
Acted for Canada Life Investments on the £23 million forward funding of the development of the SECC/Scottish National Arena Multi-Storey Car Park and the forward funding of the Co-operative Distribution Warehouse at Prologis Park.
Gladedale Ventures Limited
Acted on the acquisition, funding, letting and development of Quartermile (former Royal Infirmary), Edinburgh to create mixed use development including partial disposals of office blocks to Aviva/AFIAA, and then the corporate disposal and related restructuring of the funding and security arrangements.
